Dog adoption requirements
To ensure this adoption serves both your interests and the animal’s welfare, you must:
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Provide identification showing your current address.
- Have the full knowledge and consent of your landlord.
- Be willing to provide necessary training and medical care.
- Reside in the state of Colorado (EAPL Policy).
Cat adoption requirements
To help our cats thrive in their new forever homes, we ask that our adopters:
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Provide identification showing your current address.
- Have the full knowledge and consent of your landlord.
- Reside in the state of Colorado (EAPL policy).
- You agree the cat will be kept indoors only.
- You agree to never declaw the cat.
- You agree to take the cat to the vet, as appropriate.
Adoption fees
Dogs and puppies
$375
Includes spaying or neutering, distemper vaccine(s) (DHPP), rabies vaccine (if applicable due to age), deworming, health certificate exam, and treatment of any visible or known medical conditions.
Cats and kittens
$95
Includes microchip, spaying or neutering (kittens), FIV and feline leukemia tests, distemper and rabies vaccines, deworming, initial vet exam, and treatment of any visible or known medical conditions.

Adoption decisions: We reserve the right to decline any adoption we deem unsuitable for the animal’s welfare.
It’s not personal: Please understand that a refusal is never personal; it solely indicates this specific pet may not thrive in your current situation.
Breed requirements: Please be aware of breed-specific requirements in your city. While there are currently no outright bans in Colorado, some municipalities require specific registration for “Pit Bull” type breeds.
No guarantees: Completion of this application does not guarantee the adoption of an EAPL animal.
